29 Mar – 5 Apr the Bishop Josef (Milian) and Fr. Andrew Gakh representatives of Missionary Department of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) are visiting South Africa to discuss the spiritual needs of Ukrainians in South Africa and to commemorate Mytropolitan Archbishop UGCC Andrey Sheptycky (born 1865 – died 1944). 

Ukrainian Association of South Africa in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine to South Africa has planned a number of events:

31 March – the Mess and screening of the movie about Mytropolitan Archbihop Andrey Sheptytsky at the St John Fischer Catholic Church

4 April (11 am)  – the Mess at St Bernard Church, Newlands, Cape Town and screening of the movie.

26-28 April Forum of Ukrainians in South Africa dedicated to Metropolitan Archbishop Sheptytsky.
