UAZA, alongside thousands of activists, artists, and everyday South Africans, will once again stand up for justice, equality, and inclusion.
Human rights belong to everyone, simply because they are human. This idea is still relatively new—only in 1948, after World War II, did the United Nations adopt the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, setting out 30 fundamental rights based on dignity, freedom, justice, and peace. These rights are universal, and no one should be denied them.
Both the Ukrainian and South African constitutions are founded on human rights. At a time when the very concept of basic rights is being severely tested, our countries can demonstrate even greater solidarity than ever before.
Join the Ukrainian Association of South Africa at the Constitution Hill Human Rights Festival.
Let’s stand together against the violations of human rights!
