The Ukrain­ian Insti­tute and the Ukrain­ian Asso­ci­a­tion of South Africa invite you to attend Liv­ing the Expe­ri­ence of War: A Youth Per­spec­tive—an event explor­ing the real­i­ties of post-occu­pa­tion recov­ery and resilience.

The event is ded­i­cat­ed to the chal­lenges of recov­ery and resilience. It aims to unite the voic­es of young peo­ple from Ukraine and South Africa to unlock a way out of the cri­sis and work togeth­er for a secure future.

Pro­gram:

On 28 March, a pan­el dis­cus­sion will be held fea­tur­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Ukrain­ian organ­i­sa­tions and South African youth. They will share their insights and expe­ri­ences on the role of youth in times of cri­sis and com­mu­ni­ty rebuild­ing, as well as reflect on how young peo­ple expe­ri­ence and respond to the process of de-occu­pa­tion.

The event will also fea­ture a pho­to exhi­bi­tion show­cas­ing works by chil­dren from de-occu­pied ter­ri­to­ries and images of youth ini­tia­tives focused on rebuild­ing and vol­un­teer­ing. Notably, the exhi­bi­tion will include works from the renowned media plat­form Ukrain­er.
