In 2023, while larger humanitarian institutions covered basic needs for survival, the need for psychological support of the population became even more crucial. Major Ukrainian cities are still bombed daily, and people are not only dying from missiles and drones but also from panic attacks, unable to deal with the harsh reality of russia’s war. UAZA partnered with the Voices of Children Organization, which is providing psychological support to children affected by the war. The Voices of Children currently has 60 psychologists providing 24/7 support to children and their families who escaped from Russia-occupied territories, or returned after deportation to Russia, or those directly affected by military activities.

Voices of Children Organization is providing psychological support non-stopwihgh help of more than 50 psychologists. They are helping to evacuate families with children, seeking housing for them, providing them with food and clothing.

 

How exactly Voices of Children Charitable Foundation helps:

 

  • buy food, child care products, etc. in active combat areas or where it have taken place;
  • help with evacuation and resettlement;
  • provide individual assistance to families both in the form of household goods and in cash;
  • equip places of compact residence for displaced people and make their life easier;
  • look for housing for ward families who have nowhere to return;
  • take care of boarding and rehabilitation facilities, meeting their needs in the organization of decent living conditions for children;
  • provide consulting services to families on solving various issues and adapting to new living conditions;
  • prepare school bomb shelters for the comfortable stay of pupils and employees during air raids;
  • provide targeted support to hospitals or individuals, for example: paying for the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, purchasing medicines, hearing aids, etc.
