Antonina in cooperation with Lucas Maree recorded musical Droomvrou that tells story of Ukrainian woman who came to South Africa.

Svitlana Sheremet is a classically trained vocalist and pianist covering a wide range of music genres, from folk to jazz.
A person of various talents, she is a finalist and a special award winner of two
Beauty and Talent competitions in Ukraine, Zaporizhia: “Lady of the
Year 2003”, “Lady Zaporizhia 2005”.

Nadia Pryimak is a professional musician from Ukraine who takes on a mission to present bandura, traditional Ukrainian instrument, to South Africans.
Nadia’s repertoire goes far beyond Ukrainian traditional songs and covers some Afrikaans songs as well as jazz.
She has performed in multiple events in South Africa, including the Ukrainian Festival in Cape Town (2017 & 2018).

Mykola Biletskyi gained his love for musicas a student of Poltava Musical College in Ukraine.
He trained as a piano player, teacher, and accompanist.
He worked as a tenor in the choir of The Slavutich Folk Ensemble in his hometown, Kremenchug.
Since settling in Cape Town in early 2017, Mykola has been offering piano lessons, and sings with the famous Cape Town Youth Choir.

Olga Tsyganok-Jacobs – vocalist, performs Ukrainian folk and pop singer with a wide repertoire.
Olga has performed Ukrainian songs at the First Ukrainian Festival and also on invitation of the Embassy of Ukraine to South Africa.

Oleksii aka Alex is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine and has been dancing professionally for most of his life.
Oleksii’s training includes ballet, hiphop, jazz, funk, Irish tap, stage acrobatics, Latin, traditional folk dance and ballroom.
He became a professional dancer as part of a traditional Ukrainian dance company–the Virsky Ballet Company–at the age of 17.
He has toured with the company through America, Japan, Canada, Europe, and Mexico.
Since moving to South Africa in 2013, Oleksii has been involved in numerous
productions, including “Queen at the Ballet” with Bovim Balletand and the Fugard’s production of “West Side Story”.
In 2016, Oleksii and Michele Strength Act participated in SA‘s Got Talent live show, where they received a Golden Buzzer and made it to the semi-finals.
Oleksii performed Ukrainian traditional dance, called hopak, at the Ukrainian Festival in Cape Town in 2017 & 2018.

Alisa Balayan invites children and adults to Orlovska Dance Studio ( 21, 4th Ave, Parktown North, Randburg)!
Alisa comes from the family of ballet and modern dancers. She was trained at Lviv State Choreographic School, College of Art (Ukraine) and Joffrey Ballet School (New York) in both classical & modern ballet as well as Ukrainian traditional dancing!
And was part of the permanent crew at the Lviv National Theatre and Ballet and South African Ballet Theatre (SABT). In 2019 Alisa has opened her private studio that is named after a great ballet dancer and uniquely talented dance teacher – Liudmyla Orlovska – Alisa’s grandmother!

Tatiana Hurn is a Ukrainian-born artist who currently lives in Lamberts Bay.
She has rediscovered her love for painting through social murals.
She has already transformed life in her new hometown Lambert’s Bay by completing over 30 murals all over town.
Her recent work, completed on the request of Cederberg Municipality, was a 264-square-metre mural called “The Rainbow Cruise”.
The mural depicts different countries of the world (including Ukraine) and aims to spark curiosity among locals to discover the world and other countries’ cultures.
Tatiana has designed of all of our posters for Ukrainian Days in Cape Town and other events.

Ana Kuni is a Ukrainian-born artist currently residing in Cape Town.
The main subject of her work is a “Warrior Girl”–a modern human of today, exploring the importance of the wild and nature in today’s human-made society.
She has recently completed a mural in Salt River that was part of an international public art festival www.ipafest.co.za, along with 40 local and international artists, with the intention to uplift, engage, and empower the area.
The message behind the mural is “Feed Your Dream” .
Her own dream is to paint inspirational pieces all over the world, especially in communities that need it the most.
